يَا صَاحِباً جَمِيلُهْ

مَا عِشْت لا أُنْكِرُهْ

O my two friends—his kindness,

O friend, whose kindness

as long as I live, I shall not deny it.

وَلَسْتَ مُحْتاجاً إِلَى

وَلَسْتَ مُحْتاجاً إِلَى

شَيْءٍ بِهِ أَذْكُرُهْ

شَيْءٍ بِهِ أَذْكُرُهْ

Nor do I need

And you have no need of

anything by which to remember it.

Anything by which I might remember it;

فَإِنَّ قَلْبِي فِي الغِيَـ

فَإِنَّ قَلْبِي فِي الغِيَـ

ـابِ أَبَداً يُحْضِرُهْ

حَبوْتَنِي بِسَاعَةٍ

You have bestowed a watch on me,

and goodness is what you favor.
