    Justice may be slow, but it

    Comes without fail, bringing recompense.

    And the hidden essence must

    Be revealed, and its outward appearance fall away.

    O illustrious house of Abd al-Raziq, indeed,

    Your glory has repaid you what it borrowed.

    You chose the noblest course and did not squander

    What was precious in abasement or decay.

    فَاليَوْمَ أَدَّتْ شُكْرَهَا المُفْتَرَضْ

    You ransomed Egypt with your lives;

    So today she has offered the gratitude she owed.

    Mustafa is none other than the minister who

    Rises for good whenever he rises.

    He set his aim farther and higher, so nothing

    Occupied him but lofty purposes.

    أَكلُّ مَنْ أَبْدَى وِدَاداً مَحَضْ

    I gave him sincere affection, but did not show it;

    Does everyone who shows affection give it sincerely?
