عَلِيٌّAli يَاO زَيْنَadornment of شَبَابِthe youth of الحِمَىthe homeland
عَلِيٌّ يَا زَيْنَ شَبَابِ الحِمَى
بُلِّغْتmay you be brought to attain مَأْمُولاًa hoped-for goal فَمَأْمُولاُthen another hoped-for goal
بُلِّغْت مَأْمُولاً فَمَأْمُولاُ
Ali, O adornment of the homeland's youth,
O Ali, O pride of youth’s ardor
May you attain one hoped-for goal after another.
You attained what you hoped for, so keep hoping
أَوْجُthe pinnacle of المَعَالِيglory أَقْسَمَswore أَنْthat تَكُنْyou would be
أَوْجُ المَعَالِي أَقْسَمَ أَنْ تَكُنْ
بَدْءاًat the outset مُنِحْتَyou were granted الرُّتْبَةَthe rank الأُولَىthe first
بَدْءاً مُنِحْتَ الرُّتْبَةَ الأُولَى
The pinnacle of glory swore that you would be
The zenith of glories has sworn that you are
Granted first rank at the outset.
