ياO ابْنَson of إِسْمَاعِيلَIsmail إِنِّيindeed I am فَرِحٌglad
يا ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ إِنِّي فَرِحٌ
أَنْthat تَؤولَpasses الدَّوْلَةُsovereignty الْيَوْمَtoday إِلَيْكْto you
أَنْ تَؤولَ الدَّوْلَةُ الْيَوْمَ إِلَيْكْ
O son of Ismail, I am indeed glad
Oh son of Ishmael, I rejoice
that sovereignty passes to you today.
That power comes to you this day.
رَحْمَةُmercy اللهِof God عَليْهِupon him مُنْجِباًhaving fathered a noble son
رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَليْهِ مُنْجِباً
وَسَلاَمُand peace اللهِof God يَاO شِبْلُlion cub عَلَيْكْupon you
وَسَلاَمُ اللهِ يَا شِبْلُ عَلَيْكْ
May God's mercy be upon him, who fathered a noble son,
God's mercy on the one who bore you,
and God's peace be upon you, O lion cub.
And God's peace, o cub, be with you.
