إِذَاif الرُّتْبَةُthe rank الْعُليَاthe highest أَتَتْكَcomes to you إِثَابَةًas a reward
إِذَا الرُّتْبَةُ الْعُليَا أَتَتْكَ إِثَابَةً
وَفَارُوقُand Farouk عَالِيhigh الرَّأْسِthe head حِينَwhen يَثِيبُhe rewards
وَفَارُوقُ عَالِي الرَّأْسِ حِينَ يَثِيبُ
If the highest rank comes to you as a reward,
When high rank comes to you as a reward
And Farouk holds his head high when he rewards,
And the eminent, high of station, congratulates you
فَفِيthen in الْحَقِّtruth أَنْto تَزهوyou take pride بِهَاin it مِثْلُlike زَهْوِهَاits pride
فَفِي الْحَقِّ أَنْ تَزهو بِهَا مِثْلُ زَهْوِهَا
بِأَنَّكَin that you are مَرْعِيُّrespected الْمَقَامِthe standing حَبِيبُbeloved
بِأَنَّكَ مَرْعِيُّ الْمَقَامِ حَبِيبُ
Then you may rightly take pride in it, just as it takes pride
It is right that you exult in it like its exultation
In your being held in honor and beloved.
Since you are the beloved of the sublime station
