A graceful maiden—nay, a necklace of meanings,

A necklace of meanings gathered in a unique blossom

Gathered in a radiant, peerless jewel.

An image of radiance embodied in the adornment of high virtues

صُورَةٌ مِنْ بَشَاشَةٍ تَتَجَلَّى

صُورَةٌ مِنْ بَشَاشَةٍ تَتَجَلَّى

فِي حُلِيِّ الشَّمائِلِ العَصْمَاءِ

فِي حُلِيِّ الشَّمائِلِ العَصْمَاءِ

An image of cheerfulness shining forth

The mother's blessing bore the best of offspring

In the adornments of flawless character.

For righteousness, grace, and loyalty

نِعْمَتِ الأُمُّ أَنْجَبَتْ خِيرَةَ الأُوْ

نِعْمَتِ الأُمُّ أَنْجَبَتْ خِيرَةَ الأُوْ

لاَدِ لِلبِرِّ وَالنَّدَى وَالْوَفَاءِ

لاَدِ لِلبِرِّ وَالنَّدَى وَالْوَفَاءِ

What an excellent mother! She bore the finest chil-

The wife's blessing: chastity and devotion

dren in goodness, generosity, and faithfulness.

To the honorable, truthful and loyal partner

نِعْمَتِ الزَّوْجُ عِفَّة وَوَلاَءً

نِعْمَتِ الزَّوْجُ عِفَّة وَوَلاَءً

لِلْقَرِينِ الْحُرِّ الصَّدُوقِ الْوَلاَءِ

لِلْقَرِينِ الْحُرِّ الصَّدُوقِ الْوَلاَءِ

What an excellent wife, in chastity and devotion

To her noble spouse, true in his loyalty.
