كَرِيمَةُ حَاتم زُفَّت فَلاَقَتْ

كَرِيمَةُ حَاتم زُفَّت فَلاَقَتْ

وَفَاءً وَلاَقَى ابْنُ أَيُّوبِ سَعْدَا

وَفَاءً وَلاَقَى ابْنُ أَيُّوبِ سَعْدَا

Hatim's daughter was led forth as a bride and found

The generous Hatim's daughter was wed

faithfulness, and Ayyub's son found good fortune.

And met faithfulness, as Ayyub's son met fortune,

إِذَا النَّيرَانِ مَعاً أَرَّخَا

إِذَا النَّيرَانِ مَعاً أَرَّخَا

فَهَذَا إِقْتَرَانُ فَريد بِلِنْدَا

فَهَذَا إِقْتَرَانُ فَريد بِلِنْدَا

When the two luminaries together mark the date,

When together they kindled the fires,

then this is the union of Farid with Linda.

A matchless union of peerless mates.
