يَاO مِصْرُEgypt دَامَmay endure عُلُوٌّloftiness جَدِّكْyour fortune
عِيْدُfestival الجَلاَءِthe evacuation أَتىhas come كَوُدِّكْas you wished
O Egypt, may your fortune remain exalted.
O Egypt, may your glory last,
The festival of evacuation has come as you wished.
The day of liberation has come to fulfill your promise,
آبَreturned العِدَىthe foes وَكَأَنَّمَاand as though
كَانَwere العِدَىthe foes خَدَماًservants لِسَعْدِكْto your good fortune
The foes have turned back, as though
The tyranny of the enemy has passed, as if
The foes had been servants to your good fortune.
It was in servitude to your prosperity,
شَادُواerected مَعَاقِلَهُمْtheir strongholds وَلَكِنْand yet
مَاnot بَنَوْاthey built إِلاَّexcept لِمَجْدِكfor your glory
They raised their strongholds, and yet
They built their strongholds, but
They built only for your glory.
They only built them for your glory,
وَاليَوْمَand today نُكِّسَwas lowered بَنْدُهُمْtheir banner عَنْهَاfrom them
وَأَوْفَىand rose high نُورُthe light بَنْدِكْof your banner
And today their banner was lowered from those strongholds,
And today their flags over them are lowered,
And the light of your banner rose high.
And the light of your flag is raised,

Farouk, time has indeed made
So rejoice, time itself
Peace with her and covenanted with her in your reign.
Has prepared it and promised it with your pact,
وَالمُلْكand royal power عَادَhas returned أَعَزَّmightier مِمَّاthan what

And royal power has returned, mightier than
And the kingdom has returned mightier
It was in your grandfather's days.
Than it was in the days of your ancestors,

The foreigner has no authority;
The foreigner has no authority,
The den has become the den of your lions.
The lair has become the den of your lion,
فَاسْلَمْso remain safe لِشعبِكَfor your people يَاO مُعِزّone who exalts

So remain safe for your people, O you who exalt
So surrender to your people, O protector,
Their standing, and remain safe for your troops.
Their position, and surrender to your soldiers,

And rejoice in the days of liberation,
For they are the fruits of your labor.
