عُرَى يَقِينٍ مَتِينٍ لَيْسَ تَنْفَصِمُ
He and the companions who follow his example are bound
He embraces it, and the comrades who follow his lead,
By ties of firm certainty that never break.
The bonds of steadfast, resolute conviction that will not break.

إِنْ سُوهِمُوا فِي مَجَالاتِ الْعُلَى سَهَمُوا
And his companions are none but wise elders,
And his companions are none but venerable, wise mentors,
Who, when challenged in the arenas of eminence, prevail,
If they miss the mark in the highest pursuits, they hit it.

And noble youths, sure of aim and mighty,
And fine, noble youths, virtuous, bold and dutiful,
True to what they promise, pressing on when they resolve.

They kept faith with what they willingly swore to themselves;
They have excelled in what they have sworn by their own will.
Thus that oath was a sign of victory.
Thus their oath was a sign of victory.

They marched under his command, with truth as their guide.
They marched on by his command, and truth led them,
[Likely sense; text uncertain:] No one among them is seen faltering or discontented.
So he sees them as one, and they see no fault in him.
