لاَ غَرْوَ أَنَّ مَلِيكَ وَادِي النِّيلِ

No wonder that the king of the Nile Valley

أَنْتَ الوَزِيرُ مِنَ القَلِيلِ وَنَحْنُ فِي

زَمَنٍ بِهِ الوُزَرَاءُ غَيْرُ قَلِيل

زَمَنٍ بِهِ الوُزَرَاءُ غَيْرُ قَلِيل

You are a minister among the few, while we are in

You are the minister among the few

An age in which ministers are anything but few.

While we live in a time abundant with ministers

هِبَةٌ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ العَظِيمِ بِذَاتِهِ

هِبَةٌ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ العَظِيمِ بِذَاتِهِ

جَاءَت مَعَ التَّعْظِيمِ وَالتَّبْجِيل

جَاءَت مَعَ التَّعْظِيمِ وَالتَّبْجِيل

A gift to the man great in his own right,

A gift to the great man in his essence

It came with honor and reverence.

Came with veneration and esteem

وَيَدٌ لِسيِّدِ مِصْرَ عِنْدَ يَدٍ بَنَت

وَيَدٌ لِسيِّدِ مِصْرَ عِنْدَ يَدٍ بَنَت

دُسْتُورَها لِلْجِيلِ بَعْدَ الجِّيلِ

دُسْتُورَها لِلْجِيلِ بَعْدَ الجِّيلِ

And a favor from Egypt's lord to a hand that built

And a hand to the lord of Egypt by the hand that built

Her constitution for generation after generation.

هُوَ أَحْمدُ السَّمَحُ الَّذِي فِي وَرْدهِ

هُوَ أَحْمدُ السَّمَحُ الَّذِي فِي وَرْدهِ

مِنْ كُلِّ مَحْمِدَةٍ شِفَاءُ غَلِيلِ

مِنْ كُلِّ مَحْمِدَةٍ شِفَاءُ غَلِيلِ

He is Ahmad, the generous, in whose roses

It is Ahmed the benign whose roses

Lies, from every praiseworthy virtue, a balm for burning thirst.
