Which two witnesses were compelled to testify,
These two witnesses were driven to testify,
With two thousand witnesses accusing them of falsehood?
Though a thousand bore false witness against them.
شَهداthey both testified بِماto what لمdid not يَعلَماthey both know وعلىand against الَّذيthe one whom
لَمdid not يَعرِفاهُthey both know him علىdespite اختلافvariation مواردِcircumstances
They testified to what they did not know, and against one
They testified to what they did not know,
Whom they did not know, despite the varied circumstances.
Against one unknown to them however it occurred.
مَعَdespite ذاكthat صُدِّقتِwas believed الشهادةُthe testimony منهماfrom them both
وَالناسand the people ترفُضهاreject it بصوتٍwith a voice واحدِone
Nevertheless, their testimony was believed,
Yet their testimony was believed,
And the people reject it with one voice.
While people rejected it unanimously.
واذاand behold الحقيقةُthe truth قدindeed بدتappeared منfrom بينهاwithin it
مثلlike الصلاحgoodness اذاwhen بداappears منfrom فاسدِsomeone corrupt
And behold, the truth has appeared from within it,
When the truth appeared from within it,
Like goodness when it emerges from someone corrupt.
Like purity appearing from corruption.
