كالنحل للزهر والعُطور
It flew with the longing of a sorrowful lover,
It flew with yearning for the beloved
Like bees toward blossoms and fragrances.
Like bees to flowers and fragrances

For those eyes are hunters of hearts.

They have arrows from eyelids,
With arrows of eyelashes
They slay hearts that melt because of them.

As though they were the arrows of Death,
As if they were arrows of fate
So they never miss when they strike.
None can escape when they aim

They have a house of war against peace
If you make peace with them, they rise in revolt.
If you make peace, they revolt

And who can possibly
Live in accord with them and make peace?
Match them or make truce?

To quarrel with them and resist them?
To contend or resist them?

Who thinks that is easy
Stands firm in the face of the clash?
Will falter facing the clash

This world of yours heaves because of it.

Hard it is to see any hard thing
As one of the easiest things for you.
