مرضَfell ill الحَبيبthe beloved بجسمهِin his body منfrom لطفهِhis delicacy
مرضَ الحَبيب بجسمهِ من لطفهِ
فمرضتُso I fell ill معهُwith him بِقَلبيَin my heart الولهانِlove-stricken
فمرضتُ معهُ بِقَلبيَ الولهانِ
The beloved fell ill in body from his delicacy.
So I fell ill with him in my love-stricken heart.
شَربَdrank الحبيبthe beloved دواءَهُhis medicine فشُفيso he was cured بِهِby it
شَربَ الحبيب دواءَهُ فشُفي بِهِ
واناand I شربتI drank شفاءَهُhis recovery فَشَفانيso it cured me
وانا شربت شفاءَهُ فَشَفاني
The beloved drank his medicine and was cured by it.
And I drank his recovery, and it cured me.
