A verdant bough from among Eve’s children—

the winds of parting blew upon him, and he bent.

A noble man—eyes streamed at his loss

in grief; and how many a heart was seared for him.

Jurjis departed to his Lord, clad

in triumph; near a throne, he took his place beside it.

May the All-Preserving One water the soil made to contain,

within its fold—as we chronogram it—a bough that withered.
