اتىcame لبنيto the sons of رسلانَRaslan نجلٌa son مباركٌblessed
اتى لبني رسلانَ نجلٌ مباركٌ
علىto اصلهِhis lineage فيهِin him لوائحُsigns تشهدُbear witness
على اصلهِ فيهِ لوائحُ تشهدُ
A blessed son has come to the sons of Raslan;
A blessed son came to the children of Raslan
Signs within him bear witness to his lineage.
His lineage testifies to his noble roots
كَريمٌa noble one تجلّىshone forth منfrom كِرامٍnoble people افاضلٍvirtuous
كَريمٌ تجلّى من كِرامٍ افاضلٍ
عَلىto كرمnobility الاخلاقِcharacter قدماًlong since تعوَّدواthey grew accustomed
عَلى كرم الاخلاقِ قدماً تعوَّدوا
A noble one has shone forth from noble, virtuous people,
A generous one emerged from generous, virtuous ancestors
Long accustomed to nobility of character.
Whose feet were accustomed to walk the path of noble morals
حباهمبِهِgraced them with him المولىthe Lord العليthe Most High فتمتَّعواso they took delight
حباهمبِهِ المولى العلي فتمتَّعوا
باحمدin Ahmad توفيقTawfiq بِهِfor him اللَهGod يُحمَدُis praised
باحمد توفيق بِهِ اللَه يُحمَدُ
The Most High Lord graced them with him, and they took delight
The Sublime Master endowed them with it, so they enjoyed
In Ahmad Tawfiq, for whom God is praised.
Ahmad's success, for which God is praised
فانشدتُso I recited والتاريخand the chronogram هنّاoffered congratulations بوفدهِon his arrival
فانشدتُ والتاريخ هنّا بوفدهِ
بدارin the house of خليلKhalil (friend) اللَهGod قدindeed لاحshone forth احمدُAhmad
بدار خليل اللَه قد لاح احمدُ
So I recited, and the chronogram hailed his arrival:
So I recited, and here the date with his arrival
In the house of Khalil, God’s friend, Ahmad has shone forth.
In the abode of the friend of God, Ahmad appeared
