A beloved is my enemy; from him comes enmity,
A lover, an enemy to me - from him, enmity
And from me come love for him and longing.
And from me, love towards him and yearning

وامسي أُريهِ الحبَّ كيف يَكون
He spends the night showing me how hatred burns,
He spends the night showing me how his hatred flares up
And I spend the evening showing him what love is.
And I spend the evening showing him how love can be
