ياO طيبَsweetness بُشرىglad tidings بهاthrough them عمَّspread everywhere الهنآءُjoy وَلاand not
يا طيبَ بُشرى بها عمَّ الهنآءُ وَلا
بدعٌa strange thing فتلكfor that لعمريby my life بهجةjoy العيدِthe feast
بدعٌ فتلك لعمري بهجة العيدِ
How sweet the glad tidings through which joy spread everywhere—and no
O you who bring good tidings, joy pervades
wonder, for that, by my life, is the joy of the feast.
And this is no innovation, by my life, this is the joy of Eid.
دامَتmay remain لكto you الناسthe people بالتأريخin the chronogram خاضعةًsubject
دامَت لك الناس بالتأريخ خاضعةً
ارّخrecord the date ولاand not زلتَyou cease منصوراًvictorious بتأَييدِwith support
ارّخ ولا زلتَ منصوراً بتأَييدِ
May the people remain subject to you; in the chronogram,
People have submitted to you through time,
record: “And may you ever be victorious with support.”
Record it, you remain supported and victorious.
