اعادَrevived اسمَthe name of قسطنطينConstantine طوّاسَميُّهُTawwa; his namesake
اعادَ اسمَ قسطنطين طوّاسَميُّهُ
واخلاقهُand his virtues تحياlive on بِهِin him عندat كبرهِhis old age
واخلاقهُ تحيا بِهِ عند كبرهِ
His namesake revived the name of Constantine Tawwa;
Constantine restored his glorious name
And his virtues live on in him as he grows older.
And his morals lived on in his old age
نماhe flourished بعدهُafter him فيin العيشlife ارّخrecord the date بطولِهِby its length
نما بعدهُ في العيش ارّخ بطولِهِ
وَيُعطىand may he be granted نظيرَlike الإِسمthe name باقيَthe remainder of عمرهِhis lifetime
وَيُعطى نظيرَ الإِسم باقيَ عمرهِ
He flourished after him in life; mark the date by its length:
He continued living a long life after him
And may he be granted, like the name, the rest of his lifetime.
And was given a name as great for the rest of his days
