لا تَكتَرِث ابداً بذي لؤمٍ اتى

لا تَكتَرِث ابداً بذي لؤمٍ اتى

سوءا فَيَبقى غِلُّه في قَلبِهِ

سوءا فَيَبقى غِلُّه في قَلبِهِ

Never pay heed to a base man who has done

Never care for the blame of the vile one wholly,

an evil deed, so that his rancor remains in his heart.

Let his spite in his own heart be burning slowly!

ان اللَئيم اذا اتاك بسوءَةٍ

ان اللَئيم اذا اتاك بسوءَةٍ

واردت تقتلهُ فلا تَعبأ بِهِ

واردت تقتلهُ فلا تَعبأ بِهِ

Indeed, if a vile man comes to you with an affront,

When the base man comes to thee full of malice,

and you wish to kill him, then pay him no heed.

To show anger at him is to take too much notice!
