أمسيI pass the evening وأصبحand I greet the morning لاصقاًclinging فيat خصرهhis waist
أمسي وأصبح لاصقاً في خصره
وأباتand I spend the night ماwhat is بينbetween النهودthe breasts وأغتديand I go forth at dawn
وأبات ما بين النهود وأغتدي
Evening and morning, I would cling to his waist,
Clinging to his waist morning and night
And spend the night between the breasts and go forth at dawn.
Between his breasts, reveling in delight
إنيindeed I لأحسدI surely envy ثوبهhis garment وأخالهand I believe it
إني لأحسد ثوبه وأخاله
بلغhas attained النعيمbliss وماand not بلغتI have reached لمقصديto my goal
بلغ النعيم وما بلغت لمقصدي
Indeed, I envy his garment and believe it
How I envy his shirt that touches his skin
Has attained bliss, while I have not reached my goal.
Reaching ecstasy, a joy I cannot win
أيباتdoes it spend the night منهwith him معانقاًembracing وملاصقاًand pressed close
أيبات منه معانقاً وملاصقاً
وأباتand I spend the night بينbetween تأوهmoaning وتنهّدand sighing
وأبات بين تأوه وتنهّد
Does it spend the night with him, embracing and pressed close,
To embrace him, pressed against him all night
While I spend the night between moans and sighs?
