ياO منone who توَسلتُI appealed إليهِto him بهِthrough him
وشوّهَand disfigured الإغِراقexcess فيin حُبهِloving him
O one to whom I appealed through his own self,
O you whom I implored with Him
And excess in loving him has disfigured [me].
And immersing myself excessively in His love disfigured me

I am the one who has become his servant,
I who have become a devotee of His
Through longing for him; so act accordingly.
With His passion so act according to it

Indeed, I have tasted of love's bitterness
Verily I have tasted the bitter of love
In days gone by, and of its sweetness.
In the past and its sweetness
فماso … not أرىI see إلاexcept فتىًa young man ميتاًdead
عيناهhis two eyes آفاتٌafflictions علىupon قلبهِhis heart
So I see only a dead young man,
Thus I see naught but a lad dead
Whose two eyes are afflictions upon his heart.
His eyes blights upon his heart
