ياO كبداًliver ماnot تُفيقُyou recover منfrom ألَمpain

O liver, you recover from no pain
O my heart, you do not awaken from pain
except that which arises anew from sickness.
Except that which originates from sickness

And O beloved, whom his eye has summoned
And O beloved, his longing called him
to the heat of love, blazing because of rejection.
A burning passion for the aloof beloved
وياand O جفوناًeyelids أودَتdid away بناظِرهاwith their pupil

And O eyelids, whose pupil has been destroyed
And O eyelids, their gazes wanted
by a flood of tears mingled with blood.
A stream of tears connected with blood
أشكُوI complain إلىto اللَهِGod لاnot إلىto أحدٍanyone
طولَduration سَقاميmy illness لمنتهىuntil the end of سَقَمِيmy illness
I complain to God, not to anyone,
I complain to God, not to anyone
of my prolonged illness, until my illness ends.
The length of my illness, to the end of my illness
