لاnot أرىI see ليfor me إلىto السلوِّforgetting love سَبيلاa path
May God leave whoever obeys a reproacher in solitude.
God rewards those who obey Him with solitude
I see no path for me to forget my love.
I see no path leading me to peace
بأبيmy father as ransom مَنthe one who يَرىconsiders وصاليunion with me كثيراًmuch

May my father be a ransom for the one who thinks union with me too much,
By my father, many see my union as frequent
while I find his love too little for my heart.
Yet I find his love for my heart scarce

I kept concealing what was within me, until
I have always concealed what ails me until
my tears became evidence of my passion.
My tears became evidence of my passion
لاdo not تلومُواyou all blame فتىًa young man بكَىwept فاعذروهُso excuse him

Do not blame a young man who wept; so excuse him.
Reproach not a young man who weeps, excuse him
Indeed, the coolness of tears quenches burning thirst.
For the cold of tears quiets the inflammation
