مفرّاًseeking escape منfrom تجلدهhis self-restraint
He wept with longing at Ajmadah,
He wept with all his being
seeking escape from his self-restraint.
Fleeing from his composure

His wounded heart torments him
The ache of his heart pained him
with the impact of his sleeplessness,
With an impact from its prostration

Towards a moon, the palm trees' beloved
who gaze at him are in his hand.
Looking at it in his hand

Deadly of glance, bewitching him,
The alluring glance enchanted him
his supple form beneath a bough's veil.
The bough's bed enraptured him

Trading smiles with the curve of his sidelocks
The whiteness smiling on his cheek
is whiteness upon his rosy flush.
Blushing with its redness

And the eye of one with wasting sickness weeps,
And the teary eye of the sickly one
his ailing body laying him low.
Weeping in his disabled state
