Grant union, and be pleased with your beloved.

You left him more ailing than your gaze,

Lovesick and sorrowful, complaining to you of love,

As he complained of the terrors of your fairness.

His tongue, in describing his ailments,

Has failed him, falling short of fully describing you.

May the harm that touched me never touch you.

From his patience, it seemed to be in your palm [wording unclear].
