finding solace or enduring patiently.

كتمتُ الذي حلَّ بي

وما خلتُهُ يظهرُ

وما خلتُهُ يظهرُ

I concealed what had befallen me,

and did not think it would show.

ولم أدرِ أن الدمو

ولم أدرِ أن الدمو

عَ تهتِكُ ما أسترُ

عَ تهتِكُ ما أسترُ

And I did not know that tears

would lay bare what I conceal.
