فقالَ الناسُ ما القصَّه

And the cold grew worse for two days;

The cold increased for two days

so the people asked, “What is the story?”

فقلنا أنشدونا شِع

So we said: They recited to us the poe-

We said recite to us poetry

Of Marwan bin Abi Hafsah

فتىً من شَهوةِ النيكِ

فتىً من شَهوةِ النيكِ

بحلقومِ استهِ غُصَّه

بحلقومِ استهِ غُصَّه

a youth who, from lust for fucking,

A lad craving intimacy

has a choking lump in the throat of his arse.

With a throat stuck from modesty

ولو يُرمى ببطيخٍ

ولو يُرمى ببطيخٍ

لوافى دبرَهُ رصَّه

لوافى دبرَهُ رصَّه

And even if he were pelted with watermelons,

And if he were to be pelted with a melon

they would reach his arse in a tightly packed mass.

It would meet his rear with perfect aim
