فيin بعدِthe far reach of معذرَتيmy excuse وخَصمِand defeating العاذلِthe reproacher
And your beauty has done me a kindness I cannot repay with thanks,
A hand for your beauty I cannot thank enough
In the far reach of my excuse and in defeating the reproacher.
After apologizing, and the blame of the criticizer

People are all alike where you are concerned:
People see you as one example
They receive from your eyes what is lodged in my vital parts.
They see in your eyes what combats me

May my father and my soul ransom the arrows you have nocked,
By my father and myself, arrows above its time
With magic, from the gaze of the unerring, victorious archer.
By magic from an afflicted fighter
لوif كنتَyou had ذقتَtasted كماas أذقتُI was made to taste منof الهوىlove
لَعلمتَyou would have known أنَّthat هواكَlove for you ليسَis not بِباطلِat all groundless
Had you tasted love as I have been made to taste it,
If you tasted what I tasted from passion
You would have known that love for you is not groundless.
You would know your love is not false
