لرميتُ من شوقٍ إليكا
Had you not left me,
I would have been stricken by longing for you.
ياO منyou whose حوانيheld me ملكُهُhis dominion
يا من حواني ملكُهُ
أنعِمshow favor علىto منthe one who فيin يديكاyour two hands
أنعِم على من في يديكا
O you whose dominion holds me,
show favor to the one in your two hands.
ياO منyou whom دعتهsummoned him مقلتاtwo eyes
يا من دعته مقلتا
هُhis بماthrough what رأىhe saw فيin مقلتيكاyour two eyes
هُ بما رأى في مقلتيكا
O you whom his two eyes summoned
through what he saw in your two eyes.
