نِcompletion of 'two kinds' حديثٌnew وقديمُand old
نِ حديثٌ وقديمُ
And my heart's love is of two
and my heart's passion
kinds: new and old.

أترَىdo you think? هَجرَكyour estrangement إنif داpersists (first part)
أترَى هَجرَك إن دا
مَcompletion of 'persists' بيَin me الوجدُpassionate longing يَدومُwill endure
مَ بيَ الوجدُ يَدومُ
Do you think your estrangement, if
Do you think that if your abandonment
longing persists in me, will endure?
continues, my torment will last?
إنindeed يَوماًa day خَذلتنيlet me down
إن يَوماً خَذلتني
فيهِon it عينيmy eye لمشومُsurely ill-omened
فيهِ عيني لمشومُ
