O you whose heart has changed toward me,

because my heart loves you—what is its fault?

And O my unjust master, whose

nearness I have wished for from his Lord:

He spends the night, sleep delighting his eyes,

and love for him denies my eyes sleep.

My joy is that he should not taste wasting illness,

and that his Lord should not punish him.
