اِبعَثSend لَهُto him مِنَfrom الرُتَيلىthe tarantula سَقَماsickness
اِبعَث لَهُ مِنَ الرُتَيلى سَقَما
مَذبوبَةًharried by flies تَبعَثُstirs فيهِwithin him أَلَماpain
مَذبوبَةً تَبعَثُ فيهِ أَلَما
Send him sickness from the tarantula—
Send him from the riders an illness
a fly-harried creature that stirs pain within him.
Melting, bringing pain within
يَظَلُّremains مِنهُbecause of it لَحمُهُhis flesh مُقَسَّماtorn apart
يَظَلُّ مِنهُ لَحمُهُ مُقَسَّما
دَهماءَdark-colored مِثَلَlike العَنكبوتِthe spider أَيِّماwidowed
دَهماءَ مِثَلَ العَنكبوتِ أَيِّما
His flesh remains torn apart by it:
His flesh remains divided
a dark, widowed creature, like a spider,
Dark like a spider's home
لَمdid not تُبقِspare بَعلاًa husband لاno وَلَمand did not تُبقِspare إِماءَslave women
لَم تُبقِ بَعلاً لا وَلَم تُبقِ إِماءَ
جَزاءَrecompense خَطّابٍKhattab بِماfor what تَأَثَّماhe sinned
جَزاءَ خَطّابٍ بِما تَأَثَّما
that spared no husband—no, nor any slave women—
You left no husband, nor maid
as recompense for Khattab for the sin he committed.
