Wine and an apple from a maidservant’s palm,
A rose and an apple from a young woman's hand
Fair-skinned, peerless in beauty and kindness.
White with beauty and kindness, unparalleled

As though the wine were the apple, melted,
As if the former is melting away
And the apple were the wine, solidified in her palm.
While the latter in her palm, condensed
