لَنَا شَرَائِحُ مِنْ ظَبْيٍ قَنَصْنَاهُ

لَنَا شَرَائِحُ مِنْ ظَبْيٍ قَنَصْنَاهُ

وَعِنْدَ طَبَّاخِنَا جَدْيٌ قَرَضْنَاهُ

وَعِنْدَ طَبَّاخِنَا جَدْيٌ قَرَضْنَاهُ

We have slices of a gazelle we hunted.

We have slices of hunted gazelle

And our cook has a kid we have cut up.

And with our cook is a cauldron we've carved

وَرَاحُنَا بِنْتُ أَعْوَامٍ وَزَامِرُنَا

وَرَاحُنَا بِنْتُ أَعْوَامٍ وَزَامِرُنَا

بَدْرٌ وَقَيْنَتُنَا الحَسْنَاءُ تَيَّاهُ

بَدْرٌ وَقَيْنَتُنَا الحَسْنَاءُ تَيَّاهُ

And our wine is the daughter of years, and our piper is

We've gone for years, with our flutes and singing

Badr, and our lovely singing girl is Tayyāh.

Badr is our full moon, and our beautiful companion enchants him

فَكُنْ جَوَابِي وَلاَ تَرْكَنْ إِلَى عُذُرٍ

فَكُنْ جَوَابِي وَلاَ تَرْكَنْ إِلَى عُذُرٍ

فَإِنْ رَكَنْتَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ أَبَيْنَاهُ

فَإِنْ رَكَنْتَ إِلَى شَيْءٍ أَبَيْنَاهُ

So be my answer, and do not resort to excuses;
