حُبُّlove الوَصِيِّthe Legatee مَبَرَّةٌrighteousness وَصِلَهْand a bond
حُبُّ الوَصِيِّ مَبَرَّةٌ وَصِلَهْ
وَطَهَارَةٌand purity بِالأَصْلِby lineage مُكْتَفَلَهْguaranteed
وَطَهَارَةٌ بِالأَصْلِ مُكْتَفَلَهْ
Love of the Legatee is righteousness and a bond,
The love of the successor is blessed and his connection is pure
And purity guaranteed by lineage.
With the origin he is fully content
وَالنَّاسُand the people عَالِمُهُمْtheir learned one يَدِيْنُprofesses faith بِهِin him
وَالنَّاسُ عَالِمُهُمْ يَدِيْنُ بِهِ
حُبَّاًout of love وَيَجْهَلُand does not know حَقَّهُhis rightful due الجَهَلَهْthe ignorant
حُبَّاً وَيَجْهَلُ حَقَّهُ الجَهَلَهْ
And the learned among the people profess faith in him
And people all know their scholar through him
Out of love, while the ignorant do not recognize his due.
Out of love though ignorants are unaware of his right
وَنَرَىand we see التَّشَيُّعَShiʿite allegiance فِيamong سَرَاتِهِمُtheir noblest
وَنَرَى التَّشَيُّعَ فِي سَرَاتِهِمُ
وَالنَّصْبَand hostility to the Legatee فِيamong الأرْذَالِthe vile وَالسِّفْلَهْand the lowly
وَالنَّصْبَ فِي الأرْذَالِ وَالسِّفْلَهْ
And we see Shiʿite allegiance among their noblest,
And we see Shi'ism in their elite
And hostility to him among the vile and lowly.
And hostility among the low and base
