قَدْindeed قُلْتُI said لِلْكَأسِto the cup وَأَبْصَرْتُهَاand I saw it
قَدْ قُلْتُ لِلْكَأسِ وَأَبْصَرْتُهَا
تَلْثُمُهُit kisses him طُوبَاكَblessed are you يَاO كَاسَهُhis cup
تَلْثُمُهُ طُوبَاكَ يَا كَاسَهُ
Indeed, I said to the cup, as I saw it
I said to the cup as I looked upon it,
kissing him: “Blessed are you, O cup of his!
"Blessed are you, O cup, when his lips touch you!"
طُوَباكَblessed are you إِذْwhen أَدْنَاكَhe drew you close مِنْto ثَغْرِهِhis mouth
طُوَباكَ إِذْ أَدْنَاكَ مِنْ ثَغْرِهِ
فَاخْتَلَسَتْand then it stole رَيَّاكَyour fragrance أَنْفَاسَهُhis breaths
فَاخْتَلَسَتْ رَيَّاكَ أَنْفَاسَهُ
Blessed are you, when he drew you close to his mouth,
Blessed are you when I bring you close to his mouth
and your fragrance stole his breath.”
And you steal the moisture of his breath.
