أَيْقَنْتُI became certain بِأَنَّthat حاجَتِيmy request لَيْسَnot تَضِيعْbe lost
أَيْقَنْتُ بِأَنَّ حاجَتِي لَيْسَ تَضِيعْ
مُذْsince قَدَّمَهاhe presented it مُهَفْهَفُslender القَدِّof stature بَديعْexquisite
مُذْ قَدَّمَها مُهَفْهَفُ القَدِّ بَديعْ
I became certain that my request would not go unfulfilled.
I'm certain my desire will not be lost
Since an exquisite, slender figure presented it.
Since the gentle breeze of time has carried it
فِيin خُضْرَةِthe greenness خَدَّيْهِhis cheeks لِعَيْنَيْكَfor your eyes رَبيعْspring
فِي خُضْرَةِ خَدَّيْهِ لِعَيْنَيْكَ رَبيعْ
ماhow أقُبَحَugly رَدَّهُrefusing him وَذاwhile this الحُسْنُbeauty شَفِيعْan intercessor
ما أقُبَحَ رَدَّهُ وَذا الحُسْنُ شَفِيعْ
In the greenness of his cheeks is spring for your eyes.
