لمَّ إلالهُ به شعثاً ورَمَّ به

لمَّ إلالهُ به شعثاً ورَمَّ به

أمورَ أُمَّتِهِ والأمرُ مُنْتشِرُ

أمورَ أُمَّتِهِ والأمرُ مُنْتشِرُ

God gathered what was scattered through him, and through him mended

The Lord has left him disheveled and confounded

the affairs of his community, when all was in disarray.

With the affairs of his nation, and matters are chaotic

الناسُ أَلْبٌ عَلَيْنَا فيكَ لَيْسَ لَنَا

الناسُ أَلْبٌ عَلَيْنَا فيكَ لَيْسَ لَنَا

إلاّ السّيوفَ وأطرافَ القَنَا وَزَرُ

إلاّ السّيوفَ وأطرافَ القَنَا وَزَرُ

The people are united against us on your account; we have

People have become like wolves upon us, through you we have

no refuge but swords and the tips of spears.
