ونَحْنُand we وَرَدْنَاwe reached خيبراًKhaybar وَفُرُوضَهُand its approaches
ونَحْنُ وَرَدْنَا خيبراً وَفُرُوضَهُ
بكلِّwith every فَتىًyoung warrior عَارِيbare الأشَاجعِthe knuckles مِذوَدِa staunch defender
بكلِّ فَتىً عَارِي الأشَاجعِ مِذوَدِ
And we reached Khaybar and its approaches,
And we came to Khaybar and its duties
With every young warrior, bare-knuckled, a staunch defender,
With every bare-chested gallant young man
جوادٍgenerous لَدَىbeside الغَايَاتِthe battle standards لاnot وَاهِنِfeeble in القُوىstrength
جوادٍ لَدَى الغَايَاتِ لا وَاهِنِ القُوى
جَريءٍbold عَلَىagainst الأَعْدَاءِthe enemies فيin كُلِّevery مَشْهدِencounter
جَريءٍ عَلَى الأَعْدَاءِ في كُلِّ مَشْهدِ
Generous beside the battle standards, not feeble in strength,
A generous horse at climaxes, whose strength does not fail
Bold against enemies in every encounter,
Daring against enemies in every arena
عَظِيمِabundant رَمَادِashes of القِدْرِthe cooking pot فيin كُلِّevery شَتْوَةٍwinter
عَظِيمِ رَمَادِ القِدْرِ في كُلِّ شَتْوَةٍ
ضَرُوبٍoften striking بِنَصْلِwith the blade of المَشْرَفيِّthe Mashrafi sword المهنَّدِof Indian steel
ضَرُوبٍ بِنَصْلِ المَشْرَفيِّ المهنَّدِ
With great heaps of ash beneath his cooking pot each winter,
Great in boiling caldrons during every winter
Ever striking with the blade of an Indian-steel Mashrafi sword.
Stirring with the blade of Mashrafi, well-sharpened
يَرَىhe regards القَتْلَbeing slain مَدْحاًas praise إِنْif أَصَابhe attains شهادةًmartyrdom
يَرَى القَتْلَ مَدْحاً إِنْ أَصَاب شهادةً
منfrom اللهِGod يرجُوهَاhe hopes for it وفوزاًand triumph بأحمدِthrough Ahmad
من اللهِ يرجُوهَا وفوزاً بأحمدِ
He regards being slain as praiseworthy, if he attains martyrdom
He sees killing as praise if he attains martyrdom
From God, which he hopes for, and triumph through Ahmad.
From God he hopes for it and success through Ahmad
يَذُودُhe repels ويحميand protects عَنْin defense of ذِمَارِthe honor of مُحَمَّدِMuhammad
يَذُودُ ويحمي عَنْ ذِمَارِ مُحَمَّدِ
وَيَدْفَعُand wards off عَنْهُfrom him باللّسانِwith the tongue وَبِاليَدِand with the hand
وَيَدْفَعُ عَنْهُ باللّسانِ وَبِاليَدِ
He repels foes and protects Muhammad's honor,
He protects and defends the flock of Muhammad
And wards off harm from him with tongue and hand.
And wards off from him with tongue and hand
وَيَنْصُرُهُand aids him منagainst كُلّevery أمرٍmatter يَريبُهُthat troubles him
وَيَنْصُرُهُ من كُلّ أمرٍ يَريبُهُ
يَجُودُhe gives freely بِنَفْسٍwith his life دُونَin defense of نَفْسِthe life of محمَّدِMuhammad
يَجُودُ بِنَفْسٍ دُونَ نَفْسِ محمَّدِ
And aids him against every matter that troubles him,
And helps him against everything that troubles him
Freely giving his own life to protect Muhammad's life.
He gives his soul for the soul of Muhammad
يُصدِّقُhe believes بالأنْباءِin the tidings بالغَيْبِconcerning the unseen مُخْلصاًsincerely
يُصدِّقُ بالأنْباءِ بالغَيْبِ مُخْلصاً
يُرِيدُhe seeks بِذَاكَthrough that الفَوْزَtriumph والعِزَّand glory فيon غَدِthe morrow
يُرِيدُ بِذَاكَ الفَوْزَ والعِزَّ في غَدِ
He sincerely believes the tidings of the unseen,
He believes the tidings of the unseen sincerely
Seeking thereby triumph and glory on the morrow.
Seeking through that the victory and honor of the morrow
