ماnot انْتَصَرْتُمْyou triumphed ولاnor انْتَصَرْناwe triumphed عَلَيْكُمْover you
ما انْتَصَرْتُمْ ولا انْتَصَرْنا عَلَيْكُمْ
كَذِبٌfalsehood ماwhat يَدورُcirculates فيin الإِعْلامِthe media
كَذِبٌ ما يَدورُ في الإِعْلامِ
You have not triumphed, nor have we triumphed over you.
Neither you nor we have conquered each other
What circulates in the media is a lie.
What circulates in the media is a lie
وحَرامٌand inviolable دِماءُblood of كُلِّall الضَّحايَاthe victims
وحَرامٌ دِماءُ كُلِّ الضَّحايَا
بَيْنَbetween قَتْلٍkilling ورَغْبَةٍand a desire فيfor انْتِقامِrevenge
بَيْنَ قَتْلٍ ورَغْبَةٍ في انْتِقامِ
And the blood of all the victims is inviolable,
The blood of all victims is forbidden
Amid killing and a desire for revenge.
Between killing and the desire for revenge
طالَماas long as ظَلَّremains الِاحْتِلالُthe occupation سَنَبْقَىwe will remain
طالَما ظَلَّ الِاحْتِلالُ سَنَبْقَى
فيin صِراعٍa conflict عَلَىover الحِمَىthe homeland وخِصامِand strife !
في صِراعٍ عَلَى الحِمَى وخِصامِ !
As long as the occupation remains, we will remain
As long as the occupation remains we will stay
In conflict over the homeland and in strife!
In a conflict over protection and contention
لَنْwill not تَنامواyou sleep فيin هَدْأَةِthe tranquility of البالِthe mind إِلَّاexcept
لَنْ تَناموا في هَدْأَةِ البالِ إِلَّا
إِنْif حَظِيناwe enjoy مَعًاtogether بِطِيبِwith the sweetness of مَنامِsleep
إِنْ حَظِينا مَعًا بِطِيبِ مَنامِ
You will not sleep with peace of mind unless
You will not sleep in tranquility
We enjoy sweet sleep together.
Unless we both enjoy a good sleep
عَيْشُكُمْyour life بَيْنَناamong us سَيَغْدوwill become كَريمًاdignified
عَيْشُكُمْ بَيْنَنا سَيَغْدو كَريمًا
إِنْif رَضِيتُمْyou agree لَناfor us بِعَيْشِwith a life of الكِرامِthe dignified
إِنْ رَضِيتُمْ لَنا بِعَيْشِ الكِرامِ
Your life among us will become dignified,
Your life among us will become honorable
If you agree to a life of dignity for us.
If you allow us the life of dignity
قَدَرُthe destiny of الحَقِّjustice أَنْto يَعودَreturn إِلَيْناto us ...
قَدَرُ الحَقِّ أَنْ يَعودَ إِلَيْنا ...
لاnot تَضيعُare lost الحُقوقُrights بَيْنَamong الأَنامِhumankind .
لا تَضيعُ الحُقوقُ بَيْنَ الأَنامِ .
Justice is destined to return to us...
The right's destiny is to return to us...
Rights are not lost among humankind.
Rights do not get lost amongst people
إِنَّindeed وَجْهَthe face of السَّلامِpeace أَقْدَسُthe most sacred وَجْهٍface
إِنَّ وَجْهَ السَّلامِ أَقْدَسُ وَجْهٍ
لِكِلَيْناfor us both ،فَأَقْبِلواso come forward لِلسَّلامِfor peace !
لِكِلَيْنا ،فَأَقْبِلوا لِلسَّلامِ !
Indeed, the face of peace is the most sacred face
Indeed the face of peace is the holiest face
For us both; so come forward for peace!
For both of us, so accept peace!
مُنْذُfor قَرْنٍa century ونَحْنُand we نَكتُبُwe write حَرْبًاwar
مُنْذُ قَرْنٍ ونَحْنُ نَكتُبُ حَرْبًا
فَلْنُوَقِّعْso let us sign بِالصُّلْحِwith reconciliation فَصْلَthe chapter of الخِتامِthe conclusion
فَلْنُوَقِّعْ بِالصُّلْحِ فَصْلَ الخِتامِ
For a century, we have been writing war;
For a century we have been writing war
So let us sign the closing chapter with reconciliation.
So let us sign the peace to end it
وَلْنُجَمِّعْand let us gather رِوايَتَيْناour two narratives كِتابًاa book
وَلْنُجَمِّعْ رِوايَتَيْنا كِتابًا
عَنْabout دُروبِthe paths of الآمالِhopes لاnot الآلامِpains !!!
عَنْ دُروبِ الآمالِ لا الآلامِ !!!
And let us gather our two narratives into a book
And gather both our stories in a book
About the paths of hope, not pain!
About the paths of hopes, not sorrows!
