لاdo not تَجمَعاyou two combine ماليmy wealth وَعِرضِيَand my honor باطِلاًwrongfully
لا تَجمَعا مالي وَعِرضِيَ باطِلاً
كَلّاcertainly not لَعَمرُby the life of أَبيكُماyour father (you two) حَبّاقِḤabbāq
كَلّا لَعَمرُ أَبيكُما حَبّاقِ
You two must not wrongfully take both my wealth and my honor.
Do not amass my wealth and honor in vain
No indeed, by the life of your father, Ḥabbāq!
No, by the life of your father, Habbaq!
وَكِلاكُماand each of you two جَرَّتdragged جَعارِJaʿār (the she-hyena) بِرِجلِهِby his foot
وَكِلاكُما جَرَّت جَعارِ بِرِجلِهِ
يَتنينَtwo born feet first بَينَbetween مَشيمَةٍa placenta وَمَلاقِand smooth rocks
يَتنينَ بَينَ مَشيمَةٍ وَمَلاقِ
And Jaʿār the she-hyena dragged each of you out by his foot,
As both of you have dragged your Jaraar with your leg
both born feet first, between a placenta and smooth rocks.
