يسبح في عرض السماء وطولها

يسبح في عرض السماء وطولها

ملائكة لِلّه غير ميامين

ملائكة لِلّه غير ميامين

Throughout heaven’s breadth and length, praise is offered

Angels of Allah glide across the sky's length and breadth

To God by angels who are not blessed.

Never tiring, ever flying high

وفي الأرض انس ثم في الأرض جنة

وفي الأرض انس ثم في الأرض جنة

وفيها عفاريت وفيها شياطين

وفيها عفاريت وفيها شياطين

And on earth are humans; then, on earth, jinn.

While on earth walk both humankind and jinn

And on it are ifrits, and on it are devils.

With sprites and demons here and there tucked in

وأكثر من في الأرض يعصون ربهم

وأكثر من في الأرض يعصون ربهم

أولئك في الأخرى عذابهم الهون

أولئك في الأخرى عذابهم الهون

And most of those on earth disobey their Lord.

Most who live on earth rebel against their Lord

For those, in the hereafter, humiliation is their torment.

In the hereafter punishment shall be their reward

لقد كفروا بِاللَه جل جلاله

لقد كفروا بِاللَه جل جلاله

بإغراء إبليس وإبليس ملعون

بإغراء إبليس وإبليس ملعون

They have indeed disbelieved in God—exalted is His majesty—

They disbelieved in Allah, Holy is His Name

Through Iblis’s enticement; and Iblis is accursed.

Tempted by Satan, cursed and put to shame

وإبليس لا يأتي سوى ما أراده

وإبليس لا يأتي سوى ما أراده

لهم ربهم ذاك الذي دينه دين

لهم ربهم ذاك الذي دينه دين

And Iblis does nothing but what was willed

Satan only comes when Allah lets him through

For them by their Lord—that one whose religion is religion.

To test belief in the One Faith, good and true
