أتىcame العلمscience يسعىadvancing شاحذاًsharpening لسلاحهits weapon
أتى العلم يسعى شاحذاً لسلاحه
إلىto الأرضthe earth بعدafter الدينreligion فهوand so it يحاربهbattles it
إلى الأرض بعد الدين فهو يحاربه
Science came advancing, sharpening its weapon,
Knowledge came brandishing its weapon
to earth after religion, and so it battles it.
To the earth after religion, so it fights it
وقدand indeed كانwas فيin الماضيthe past لهover it الدينreligion غالباًprevailing
وقد كان في الماضي له الدين غالباً
ولكنbut فيin المستقبلthe future العلمscience غالبهprevailing over it
ولكن في المستقبل العلم غالبه
And indeed, in the past, religion prevailed over it,
And in the past, religion had overcome it
but in the future, science will prevail over it.
But in the future, knowledge will overcome religion
