انقضت ظهري الحياة فلا اد
ريremaining part of “I know” متىwhen ارميI cast off عبئهاits burden الممقوتاhateful

Life has weighed down my back, and I do not
The noon of my life has passed, yet I know not
know when I shall cast off its hateful burden.
When I shall throw off its wearisome load.
سأقاسيI shall endure الشقاءmisery ماas long as دمتI remain حياalive
سأقاسي الشقاء ما دمت حيا
واذمand I revile الحياةlife حتىuntil اموتاI die
واذم الحياة حتى اموتا
I shall endure misery as long as I live,
While I live I shall bear this grievous woe,
And revile life until I die.
And reproach life until I am dead.
