مجد عليها نفسُهُ آلمه
A noble woman has died; now the
A noble woman died, and now
very soul of glory grieves for her.
Even her great name brings pain.
فقلتso I said فيupon وفاتهاher death أرِّخواrecord the date
فقلت في وفاتها أرِّخوا
لقدindeed ثوتshe lay to rest واO أسفاsorrow سالمهSalimah
لقد ثوت وا أسفا سالمه
So I said upon her death: “Record the date:
When she passed, I said: Record
Indeed, Salimah has been laid to rest—alas!”
That she left in peace, unmarred.
