الديلُal-Dīl أَذنابُtails بَكرٍBakr حينَwhen تَنسِبُهُمyou trace their lineage
الديلُ أَذنابُ بَكرٍ حينَ تَنسِبُهُم
وَكُلُّand every قَومٍpeople لَهُمthey have مِنamong قَومِهِمtheir people ذَنَبُa tail
وَكُلُّ قَومٍ لَهُم مِن قَومِهِم ذَنَبُ
Al-Dīl are the tails of Bakr when you trace their lineage,
The tribes are like the tails of camels when you blame them
And every people has a tail among its own people.
And every people have a fault stemming from their own people
