جَرَت نُوَبُ الأَيّامِ بَيني وَبَينَهُ
فَلَمso ... not يَبقَremain إِلّاexcept ماwhat أُعيدُI recount مِنof الذِكرِremembrance
فَلَم يَبقَ إِلّا ما أُعيدُ مِن الذِكرِ
The vicissitudes of the days came between me and him,
The days have passed between us
so nothing remained but the memories I recount.
Leaving nothing but memories revisited
