قُل لِلشَّقيِّ وَقعتَ في الفَخِّ
أَودتhas brought ruin بِشاهِكَto your king ضَربَةُa blow الرُخِّof the rook
أَودت بِشاهِكَ ضَربَةُ الرُخِّ
Tell the hapless man: you have fallen into the trap.
Tell the wretch, you have fallen into the trap
The rook's blow has destroyed your king.
Your king was struck down by fate’s cruel blow
