نَ فُراقُهُم إِحدى البَلِيَّه
O band of travelers, whose
O caravan whose parting
parting is one of the calamities,
Is but one of life's calamities
يوصيكُمُhe charges you all الصَبُّthe lovesick lover المُقيthe one who remains (continued)
يوصيكُمُ الصَبُّ المُقي
مُcompletes 'the one who remains' بِقَلبِهِwith his heart خَيرَthe best of الوَصِيَّهthe counsel
مُ بِقَلبِهِ خَيرَ الوَصِيَّه
the lovesick lover who stays behind entrusts you
The patient youth bids you
with his heart, with the most earnest plea.
With a heart full of virtuous counsel
