حَصَلتُI obtained عَلىupon حِكايَةِmimicry مَنone who يُغَنّيsings
حَصَلتُ عَلى حِكايَةِ مَن يُغَنّي
فَحاكَthen he mimicked لَناfor us العَجوزَthe old woman إِذاwhen تَغَنَّتshe sang
فَحاكَ لَنا العَجوزَ إِذا تَغَنَّت
I came upon a singer’s mimicry:
I got a story from one who sings
He mimicked the old woman for us as she sang,
The old woman wove for us when she sang
وَحاكَand he mimicked لَناfor us لَبيباًLabib إِذwhen أَتاهاhe came to her
وَحاكَ لَنا لَبيباً إِذ أَتاها
فَأَعطاهاthen he gave her القُمُدَّthe penis كَماas تَمَنَّتshe wished
فَأَعطاها القُمُدَّ كَما تَمَنَّت
And mimicked Labib for us when he came to her,
And wove for us a sage when he came to her
Then he gave her the phallus, just as she wished.
And gave her the spindle as she wished
